Norwich to host Radio 1’s Big Weekend
But Taylor Swift doesn’t know where we are
BBC Radio 1 has announced that its Big Weekend will take place in Norwich this year.
The event – which will be produced in partnership with Norwich City Council – is set to be held at Earlham Park between 23 – 24 May.
The announcement was made by Nick Grimshaw on his Breakfast Show this morning. He said: “Big Weekend is always bringing a huge lineup – this year we are bringing that lineup to Norwich.”
He also revealed that Taylor Swift – who admitted she has no idea where Norwich is – will be one of the headliners.
A statement from Radio 1 said: “BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend is back, and it’s in Norwich!
“The UK’s biggest free-ticketed festival will be taking place on 23rd and 24th May 2015.”

It means that those living in Norwich will have a better chance of getting hold of tickets for the festival.
The full line-up will be revealed in the coming months.
