Grant Property takes three weeks to replace broken fridge

Living off Iceland pizza was grim

When our fridge broke it took three weeks for lazy Grant Property to replace it.

Three weeks of sending over different useless workmen to examine it and tell us that the fridge was broken. Something we already knew from the smell of gone-off food coming that wafted out in what appeared to be a green mist every time the door was opened.

One of our flatmates resorted to using our friend’s fridge, a good ten minute walk away, rewarding them with cheese until it was fixed.

I personally opted for the Iceland option, making that my temporary fridge.

My diet consisted mainly of their frozen pizzas and chips, made even more unhealthy by the fact that you had to cook the whole bag of chips seeing as there was no place to freeze them.

Then when the date was agreed, there was a further set back when the agents decided that this was only a date for examining the fridge, and seeing whether it met there specifications.

Finally it’s been installed, but the fiasco saw the unnecessary death of a lot of pesto.
