Researchers have ranked colleges based on how much you earn when you graduate

Lucky you

MIT, Harvey Mudd and Cal Tech are the best colleges in America for earning top salaries after graduation, according to new research.

Experts at Payscale have ranked every school in the nation based on how much you earn within five years of graduating (early career salary) and after 10 years of graduating (mid-career).

MIT comes in top with an eye-watering $81,500 for a starting salary – which almost doubles to nearly $156,000 within 10 years.

Stanford and Carnegie Mellon make up the rest of the top five, all earning over $70,000 shortly after finishing school.
