Is this the easiest final ever? Exam asks students to pat themselves on the back and shout out their names

One question was ‘Draw a dog eating a triangle’

A professor set his students a joke exam in what must be the easiest final ever.

Prof Gordon Strain set the final exam to LA 111 at Franklin College and included questions like: “Loudly call out your first name” and “Give yourself a pat on the back.”

Others are: Put an X in the lower left corner, draw a triangle around it and then: “Draw a dog trying to eat the triangle.”

After 17 pointless questions (“How far can you go with Pi? Use the back of the sheet if necessary”), the final one is: “Now that you have read all directions carefully, do only numbers one, two, and sixteen.”

Like every other student who sat down for the Public Speaking final, at first Franklin sophomore John Wilson couldn’t believe it. “I was in total shock, I thought the professor couldn’t be serious,” he told The Tab.

“We were confused because when we walked into class, the professor put the papers on his desk then just walked out the room.

“This class is Public Speaking and some professors had a written final, some didn’t and some just had a big group speech at the end.

“With my professor, we did our group speech last week and he said if we did well we would have an easy final. But all along I’m pretty sure he didn’t even have a real final planned, he just said that so we would do good.”

The Business Management and Marketing major added: “The reactions of the other students was hilarious. Surprisingly, no one did none of the yelling stuff. I almost did but I’m glad I didn’t because I didn’t want to be the one that looked stupid.

“I almost went through the whole thing until my buddy tapped on the shoulder and told me to read the last question.”
