Here’s why people agree that Love Is Blind UK is far better than the US version
The Sam and Benaiah drama alone makes the UK version better already
Love Is Blind UK hit our Netflix screens this August and has dominated the top 10 since its release, but the Love Is Blind show has been around for a few years already in the US and many other places. However, the response to the UK version has been overwhelming: People seem to love the drama and the UK vibes a lot more than the US version. So, what exactly is it that makes the US version better? Here’s the rundown of reasons why.
The contestants are older
The contestants of Love Is Blind UK are a fair bit older than the US version. For example, one of the more secure couples from the show, Steven and Sabrina, are 38 and 35 respectively, which just makes the whole show feel a bit more mature and the contestants more marriage material. While the US version has had a few older contestants, the majority of them are under 30.
The UK accents are just superior
The American accents of Love Is Blind start to get a bit tedious after a few episodes, but all the different accents in the UK version actually give me life. There are just so many: Sabrina’s Irish accent, Steven’s Brummie, Sam’s posh boy way of talking. They’re all so entertaining and it definitely makes the show better.
A lot more scrapping
Let’s be real: Nobody has an argument like a Brit. Even from just one season, the beef between Sam and Benaiah has topped any scraps we’ve seen on the US version. Sam’s villain persona is honestly unmatched: And he doesn’t take himself too seriously. He’s one of those people you can’t help but keep watching the show for.
We are free from the shackles of Nick and Vanessa Lachey
Enough said.
However, one thing unites them: The contestants are all gorgeous
I’m not sure how morally okay it is to call a show Love Is Blind and then only invite attractive people to be on the show. That way, you kind of know already that you’re gonna end up with someone cute before you even step into the pods. It makes me wonder if love actually is blind.
