A rundown of all the Love Island 2024 Islanders Joey already knew before the show

Surprise, Love Island 2024 has just added another new Islander who already knew Joey Essex before the show. At this point, I’m starting to wonder if I’m the only person on this earth who doesn’t personally know Joey Essex? Anyone else? Please?

The show has already been called “rigged” towards Joey, with people saying he’s getting special treatment and all the drama is being centred around him. To be real, it’s getting progressively more hard to argue any different, when every other bombshell walks in proclaiming a connection to him.

So, here is a rundown of the full population of Joey Essex Island, or more basically, every Islander on Love Island 2024 who already knew him before the show. I feel like I should add something here to say that this article will be updated as more bombshells get added.

Grace Jackson

As soon as Grace walked into the Love Island 2024 villa, Joey announced to his fellow Islanders that he already knew her. “I used to see that girl,” he said as she walked in.

Earlier this year Grace and Joey Essex dated for six weeks, but things are said to have ended badly. Grace said on the show that after meeting on holiday and having a brief romance, they spoke on the phone and Joey seemed to go a bit cold on her.

MailOnline has reported Joey originally pursued Grace, and made loads of effort to wine and dine her, before ending things when it started to get more serious. Grace was apparently “hurt and confused” by this sudden end, as she thought things between them were going well. The pair have also said on the show that distance between them didn’t help.

Fashion content creator Emma Milton used to be in a relationship with Joey, and ahead of Casa Amor said she too was looking to get back with him. “I had a brief thing with Joey a few years ago,” she said before the show. “We’ve been friends for years and I would be open to reconnecting with Joey. We get on really well and we have a lot of mutual friends.”

After Emma was dumped, Maya Jama asked her more about her relationship with Joey on Aftersun. Emma explained: “We’ve literally been friends for about eight years. We were stood in the villa like ‘how do we know each other?’ But it’s just through the industry. We’ve been friends. It’s a long-term friendship.”

Lola is one of two bombshells who have just entered the villa. She strolled into the Love Island Beach Club, and yet again, it was said she and Joey Essex know one another. Lola explained to the girls she met him in Ibiza, and he often likes her Instagram stories.

According to reports, Lola is selling this a little short, and has missed out a key detail that ahead of the show, she had been messaging Joey. Ahead of entering the villa, Lola did admit: “Joey is my type to a tee so it will be interesting to see if there is anything between us. Joey’s head could turn and I’m going to try and be the one to do it so let’s see what happens.”
