RHOSLC’s Lisa Barlow accused of blackfishing after posting photo looking several shades darker
She liked a comment which made the accusation
Lisa Barlow from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has been accused of blackfishing after posting a photo with a spray tan. She shared the photo on her birthday on December 15, writing, “Life is magic! I still feel like that little girl who dreamed about big things!”
However, people are now convinced she’s gone too far with the tan. One person commented, “This is blackfishing… Right?” Lisa weirdly liked that comment, while Kenya Moore wrote, “Wooo the tan!!! Happy birthday beauty,” and Lisa replied, “Thank you, Kenya.”
Lisa has now had loads of backlash. One person said, “I get that housewives are held to an insane standard and that there is pressure to compete with other women, but this is unacceptable,” while another wrote, “Your tan is so dark it could be seen as blackfishing.”

People looked back at old seasons of RHOSLC, where she was a lot less tanned, and while a lot of people are accusing her of blackfishing, some say she’s just “extremely tanned” and has taken it too far. “It’s not blackface. She just uses too much spray tanner,” said one viewer.
Back in 2022, people said Lisa’s hands looked extremely orange while on WWHL with Andy Cohen. She said in response, “They match, I don’t know. Yeah, sorry. Listen, I love my spray tans, and sometimes they’re great, sometimes they’re not great.”
“I had to have three last week for different things, and it’s a little darker than normal. But I’m not quitting. I love them. We love that,” she added. Once, Lisa was banned from a Park City, Utah tanning salon, because she demanded a tan when they were closing in 30 minutes!
