So, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season six kicked off with a seriously juicy girls’ trip. The ladies are all hunkering down when talk turns to the fact that Lisa isn’t there.
Angie Katsanevas and Britani Bateman agree that “it’s weird” Lisa isn’t around, before Whitney Rose pipes up: “There’s a lot out there online… she just has a lot of people accusing her of crazy accusations.”
Meredith Marks then turns to Heather and says: “Didn’t she just mention this to us the other day, Heather and say everything was situated?” The ladies pretty much clarified that Lisa said it was all “BS.”
Enter Bronwyn Newport. She chimes in and tells the group: “It doesn’t sound that way to me.” The show then cuts to a confessional where Bronwyn continues: “Interesting timing for Lisa to be too busy to go on a free girls’ trip, I mean maybe she’s too busy reading about herself in the press with all of her lawsuits. It’s just very convenient timing for Lisa’s schedule to be maxed out.”
The relative newbie to the group goes even further and adds that she’s heard there are “multiple issues” going on for Lisa.
Lisa explained what’s really going down
Thankfully, the tea’s coming in piping hot straight from the horse’s mouth this fall. We don’t have to wait around to find out what’s really going down with Lisa’s alleged legal issues, because she’s already gone and explained the whole thing to Chicks in the Office.
Sitting down on the podcast, Lisa said that she’s been in business for “18 years.” She continued: “We have like a million lawyers for a reason… you’re gonna have lawsuits… it’s not on Vida… it was on a new brand, we did it for a specific reason.”
Lisa added: “We’ve been in business for a long time, and we do things for a reason, and if we’re doing it, we know why we’re doing it, we know why it’s beneficial. With that said, we do get sued. I’m not embarrassed of it.
“I have like three friends being sued right now… or suing people right now… these are not criminal, they’re civil. There’s a big difference between a civil and a criminal case. Anyone can civilly allege anything, and you have different business relationships, and you do things, and sometimes all of our lawsuits are dismissed, which legally, you can Google and look this up.”
Speaking on how people thought she might be “embarrassed or upset” by the lawsuit chat, Lisa said: “That’s the cost of doing business. That’s why we have so many lawyers. We have lawyers in every state we do business, it’s smart. You have to cross your t’s and dot your i’s.”
