Although Belle-A was introduced on Love Island USA as “Bella,” people have also taken to calling her “Belle dasha.”

Love Island USA season seven’s first eliminated contestant, then went into the meaning behind her name.
She explained: “My name has gone through this evolution throughout my life.”
“It’s almost like my name and my nickname is associated by the place that I’m in…” she continued.

But, when she moved to Hawaii and was in college, she said “Belle-A” was her “rebrand.”
The axed Love Islander said she didn’t want “any bit of Isabelle left on her.”
She was starting a new journey, and opted for a new name to go with her.
“Bella was who I wanted to be; she brought a new sense of confidence, and a new character…” she added.
The Love Island USA fan favourite said: “My legal name is Isabelle-Ann, my mom’s name is Vera-Ann, so I’m named after her and that dash is in my birth certificate.”
Speaking to People, Belle-A also added another layer to how her name is special.
She said: “It goes back in my family history. My nana, her name was Ann Annie, so she named my mom Vera-Ann…. my mom wanted to give me a piece of nana as well, so she named me Isabelle-Ann.”
