All the insane Secret Lives of Mormon Wives drama you need to know before watching season two
A lot has happened since season one!
Season two of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives finally premieres this week after what feels like far too long a wait!
But, there’s been a lot of behind the scenes drama which you need to know before starting the next season, so let’s catch up on all the juiciest gossip surrounding season two of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
What is actually going on with Taylor and Dakota?!
Taylor and Dakota take the award for having the most rocky relationship out of the entire Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast, but where do the two stand going into season two?
Last year, Taylor told Us Weekly: “We are not fully together, but not fully done. I don’t know what the future holds with him and I.”
But, later that month she posted a series of cryptic TikTok’s which all seemed to confirm that the two had officially called it quits.
Fast forward to now, and Taylor has now claimed that she and Dakota have been “individually working” on themselves.
She told People: “I feel like right now we are individually working on ourselves and trying to heal, for not only ourselves, but for our son. So that’s been the main focus the last few months, last half of a year.
“But to me, I don’t know, I never say never, but right now it’s just individually trying to heal and work on things we needed to work on.”
So, are Whitney and Taylor friends again now?
Whitney also had a pretty tough time of thing in season one when she turned up to Mikayla’s birthday party after feuding with everyone in the group, uninvited too I might add.
Even after filming for season one ended, Mikayla made a TikTok video where she accused Whitney of “playing the victim.”
But it seems like amongst the thorns, Taylor has reconciled with Whitney, as the two addressed their complex friendship during an interview with Jimmy Fallon.
Whitney explained: “I feel like it ebbs and flows. We literally just had a heart to heart, so I feel like it’s flowing.”
Jessi revealing she left the Mormon Church because of the ‘culture’
During an interview with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, Jessi admitted that the reason behind her departure primarily stemmed from the “culture.”
She admitted: “I represent an ex-Mormon on the show, which I love. Every religion has people who are super devout and people who have left, and I love that anyone in any religion can relate.”
“It can be really toxic where we live and I just felt like it wasn’t for me. And half of my family had already left, so when I was in my mid-twenties, I started stepping away.”
Jen and Zac are expecting their third child, and revealed they briefly split
Ahead of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season two premiering, Zac and Jen announced that they’re expecting their third baby together.
Jen also revealed that the pair decided to briefly split following the backlash over their relationship during season one.
She explained: “Just because of everything that we went through last year and because of everything we’ve had to do so much therapy.
“We are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Right now, I’m focusing on my mental health, my marriage and becoming the best version of myself that I can be.”
