The wait for Euphoria season three has been so long that many viewers are already feeling done with it. Plenty of cast members seem to be feeling fed up, too. Can you blame them? Here are all the Euphoria stars who complained about the show ahead of season three airing. (Hint: Basically the whole cast have.) Jacob Elordi Credit: HBO Jacob Elordi does not seem enthused about Euphoria’s approach to, erm, mature themes. During Actors on Actors, Gwyneth Paltrow told him she watched Euphoria with her kids. He asked if she found the show “alarming”. Then, he said, “It seems so extreme to me when I watch the show that I don’t know how it’s relatable.” He also moaned to Insider that it was rather chaotic to make season two. “Honestly, these scripts were chopping and changing pretty regularly for the longest time,” he said, “I had a general idea of what was happening, but it was also pretty touch and go a lot of the time.” Barbie Ferreira Well, she left the show ahead of season three because she felt there wasn’t enough for her character Kat to do. Barbie’s announcement on her Instagram story She said on the Viall Files podcast: “It wasn’t just my choice. After having a lot of conversation… there was just nowhere to go.” Barbie felt that if she committed to season three, she would be “lingering around for nine months” without much of a purpose. “It was best for both of us that we just kind of ended it there.” Hunter Schafer I’m still waiting for her to save this season (Credit: HBO) Back in 2024, Alex Cooper grilled her about Euphoria on the Call Her Daddy podcast. Although season three was greenlit in February 2022, filming still hadn’t begun. She said: “The real tea is I have no f**king idea what’s going on, and you can ask literally all of the cast.” Sydney Sweeney Credit: HBO She asked to change parts of the Euphoria script which she wasn’t keen on, telling The Independent: “There are moments where Cassie was supposed to be shirtless and I would tell Sam, ‘I don’t really think that’s necessary here.’ He was like, ‘Okay, we don’t need it.'” Sydney Sweeney also threw shade at Euphoria viewers. “This is something that has bothered me for a while. I’m very proud of my work in Euphoria. I thought it was a great performance. But no one talks about it because I got naked.” She was unimpressed when some Euphoria viewers began sharing screenshots from her nude scenes on social media. “My character is completely separate to me. It’s just so disrespectful and distressing… I don’t think there is actually a coping mechanism to be honest. You just get used to it.” At the premiere of season three, Sydney didn’t exactly gush about the show’s finale. When ET asked her about the show’s ending, she responded: “I don’t know if I’ll ever be satisfied. Cassie has been such a big part of my life, so I think it’s a very bittersweet moment, for sure.” We will all be watching Nate and Cassie’s wedding like that dude on the end (Credit: HBO) Zendaya She left the Euphoria season three premiere early, and didn’t bother posing for pics with Sydney Sweeney. Euphoria viewers joked that Zendaya couldn’t be bothered to be there. Credit: HBO Although there are plenty of rumours, I can’t find evidence that Zendaya has publicly said anything negative about Euphoria. Maybe she just fancied an early night.
