Six months since filming, here’s what Maeve’s been up to after leaving MAFS with her chin up

She’s completely aired Joe

Maeve Mathieson has kept busy since MAFS UK 2025. Last night saw her dip out of the experiment, after being left alone by her groom Joe. It’s been a tough journey for them both, but Maeve finally chose herself and left.

Filming for MAFS UK 2025 was a while ago, so even though we’re only just seeing how the couples got on, they’ve had plenty of time since. Filming is believed to have started eight months ago, in February 2025. The whole experiment takes around three months to film, so filming would have ended in April 2025.

So, here’s what Maeve has been up to in that time.

Maeve shared an emotional statement about her time on MAFS UK

Straight after the episode showing her exit aired, Maeve posted a statement on Instagram. She gave Joe no mention at all, and instead spoke of all the friends she had made through the experiment.

“My last commitment ceremony and final hurrah. Honestly, being part of this experience has been one of the craziest and most unforgettable things I have ever done. The rollercoaster of emotions you go through, from laughter to tears, nerves to joy, is absolute madness in the best possible way,” she wrote.

“I might not be walking away with a husband, but I am walking away with friendships that will last a lifetime. The people I have met on this journey have completely changed my heart. Every single day I felt love, support, and understanding from the most beautiful souls, my cast, my family for life.”

She added : “The bond we have built is something truly special, one that only we will ever fully understand. You have all shown me that being myself is enough and that I am loved for exactly who I am.” She concluded with a thank you, and that she knows the right person for her will be out there somewhere.

She’s been completing training to take her business to the next level

One thing Maeve will never give up on is being a girl boss. Before the show she worked in the aesthetics industry, and she shared that very recently, she completed Phlebotomy and PRP training. This basically means she now qualified in even more procedures.

She said: “Another qualification ticked off and another incredible treatment I can’t wait to introduce to my amazing clients. Every course I take, every bit of new knowledge I gain, is a step forward not just in my career, but in becoming the best version of myself both personally and professionally.”

Maeve has been spending loads of time hanging out with her son

Since filming for MAFS UK ended, Maeve has been sharing loads of posts about spending time with her son. “Making memories one adventure at a time with my little explorer,” she said in one cute post.

And has been living her best life, of course!

Did we expect Maeve to have given up her fun-loving lifestyle? Of course not. She’s been absolutely living, not a Joe in sight. She’s shared pictures of herself out having cocktails in Newcastle with friends, on wholesome hikes with friends and family, at the football, and on day trips to London.

She’s kept in touch with loads of the MAFS cast

The friendships she spoke about making during MAFS are definitely still going strong. It looks as though she’s particularly close to Keye and Davide, who have both regularly posted about her and called her their best friend. But, to be honest, Meave is clearly very popular. There have been press events with the MAFS cast since the show started airing, and she’s invited to them all and always in everyone’s pictures. I love it for them.

Posting about them all visiting Thorpe Park, Maeve called the other brides and grooms her “family” and said “there’s just something so special about the unbreakable bond we share.”
