An update on everything going on between Jamie, Dave and Eliot from MAFS Australia 2025

Jamie Marinos and Dave Hand were the golden couple of MAFS Australia 2025… until everything soured off-screen. Here’s a handy guide to all the chaos that continued between Jamie and Dave after filming for MAFS wrapped, plus an investigation into what’s going on with Jamie and Eliot in the present day.

Jamie and Dave are most definitely not still together

Case closed. They made it to final vows and split up a week before the reunion was filmed. By April 2025, Dave and Jamie clearly weren’t on speaking terms anymore.

Jamie told the Australian radio presenter Carly Portch: “We aren’t on speaking terms… I tried so hard to maintain a friendship and I guess that was what was always pushed to me. I really care about our bonds and our friendship. But at the same time, Dave put me through a lot on the experiment and watching it back is really difficult. Can’t excuse certain behaviours but at the same time, I can understand someone might not have been the best headspace. People make mistakes.”

However, Jamie, Dave and their fellow MAFS participant Eliot did carry on communing via snarky TikToks. In May, rumours swirled around that Jamie was spending rather a lot of time with Eliot. Dave accused them of faking a relationship for clout on Instagram and TikTok. Jamie retaliated by sharing more clips of her hanging out with Eliot. He then dressed up as Dave for yet more mocking TikToks. Honestly, what a time to be alive.

Dave doesn’t have another partner, as of October 2025. He share a video of him being single at a friend’s wedding earlier this month.

Jamie and Eliot’s relationship status is just as confusing as ever

They’re not officially an item. Nor have they broken-up. It appears Jamie and Eliot are still super close friends… but not in an entirely platonic way… but that they’re not locked in a relationship.

Jamie confirmed on 28th October 2025 that yes, they’re still close. She wrote on her Instagram: “We are still friends (pass it on). We live in different states, guys. I don’t know what y’all want from us.”

Jamie dropped more vague comments about their relationship status on the Lorraine show in July. “We definitely fell into a flirtationship. I was very much off the market during airing. I didn’t want anyone to know that Dave and I didn’t work out because we were such a love story.

“And then as soon as I was like, ‘Ah, I am free and single!’ Eliot and I… our friendship definitely developed. We kind of explored something a little bit more. It’s a bit complicated being in two different states. So, what we did want to focus on was the friendship, because it was a really beautiful friendship.”

Jamie doesn’t appear to be in a relationship with anybody else. She joked in a skincare ad from two weeks ago: “My dating life is dry but at least my skin ain’t.”

She does seem to meet up with Eliot a lot, though. In late September, Eliot was spotted meeting Jamie at Gold Coast airport. They went on a walk along the beach together.

In an interview with the Daily Mail Australia, they were outright asked if they’d had sex. Eliot responded: “We may or may not have.”

Jamie joked: “I don’t want Dave to slut-shame me again… if I say ‘yes’, a new TikTok will be released or something.”

Eliot did also speak a bit more seriously about their relationship. “We’re in a situation where we’ve both got a lot happening,” he continued, “we’re in different states. We’re being very adult and pragmatic. But, it’s the real world. We’re not going to move in together at some apartment like in the experiment.”

Jamie explained they do meet up whenever they’re travelling and it’s “no strings attached”, but they haven’t tried integrating each other into their day-to-day lives. “It gets messy. As close as we are, when lines start getting blurred, it starts to cause more strain on our friendship.”
