The final is here: Who will you crown the winner of The Bristol Tab’s BNOC for 2025?

This summer, you made over 70 nominations into The Bristol Tab’s annual BNOC competition. Of these nominees, six campus celebrities made it through to the heats, and you voted to send three of them into the finals. Your finalists are: Honor Wolstencroft, Cian McNamara, and Soren Hickinbottom. But there can only be one true winner – and that choice is down to you. 

These three Bristol bigwigs are, without a doubt, some of the most important people around. But don’t take our word for it! We spoke to each finalist to see why they think they ought to be crowned BNOC of the year. Here’s what they said:

Honor:

“Slowly but surely, you start to realise that I can’t nip to the garage in my pyjamas for a pint of milk even if I wanted to” – Cheryl Cole. 

Honor told The Bristol Tab: “Although I’ll never be as iconic as Cheryl Ann Tweedy, I can unashamedly relate to her on this one. Whether I’m storming from A to B on campus, emerging from the toilet in Berkeley or trying not to crash out in a library: it’s pretty likely that someone will come over and say, ‘omg are you the peas on toast girl?’

Cian:

Cian said: “Whether it was someone’s boyfriend, maybe their second cousin once removed, or that one lurker in the ASS you try forget, I’ve been told that people saw me somewhere as the ginger boy bouncing around, then I immediately get a little scared as I have no memory whatsoever it’s almost worrying.  

“Being consistently on the move has helped me meet a bunch of incredible people around the country and even the globe, and I wouldn’t change anything about it… and I’ll see you in the pub next week. 

“What can I say, I’m just that fucking cool.”

Soren:

Soren The Bristol Tab: “Soren throws the best parties – and even crowd surfs at his own. Known for dropping hilarious messages across countless group chats, he somehow manages to be everywhere at once, always out socialising and spotting familiar faces around Bristol.”
