The long awaited second round of heats for The Bristol Tab’s BNOC of the year competition is upon us
In June, you nominated almost 80 Bristol student celebrities to be crowned the ultimate big name on campus. In round one, Honor, Jude and Oli battled it out for a place in the final. The winner of them will go through to the final round along with the winners from the next two rounds.
Now it’s time for three more legends to fight for the title. In this round, an ice hockey hero, an omnipresent ginger icon, and a North Villager known by all are your nominees. Here they are:
Alina Marner
Being described by fans as “the Bristol ice hockey emo legend”, Alina has put Bristol ice hockey back on the map, through her presidency of the Bloodhounds. Alina is known and loved by many, but will you be sending her through to the BNOC of the year finals?
Cian McNamara
Everybody knows Cian. Or knows someone who is best friends with Cian. Nominations have described him as “known and loved by everyone” and “so incredibly friendly”. Cian has been said to be everywhere and known by everyone, often seeming to appear in more than one place at a time. One nominator bragged how “he even lives in the same building as me”. Will Cian be crowned the ultimate Bristol celebrity?
Soren Hickinbottom

Soren is well known around Bristol, particularly in the North Village, where he is the “most active member of every single North Village group chat”. Nominators have claimed that the best pres are when Soren is there, and that everyone is his fan. On top of this, he is “just everywhere”. Everyone sees him around, but will he see the final of BNOC of the year?
