Kai Fagan reveals the pathetic gift Love Island winners get each year

Apparently all Love Island winners get a gift in the post each year? I did not know this about show show’s lore. Kai Fagan – who won the winter edition of Love Island back in 2023 – dramatically revealed the gift all Love Island champions are posted annually. It’s really not as exciting as he thinks it is.

He shared a whole unboxing video with his Instagram followers. Kai said: “Here’s something you all don’t know about winning Love Island. So, you don’t only get £50,000 – so £25,000 each if you split not steal, but I don’t think they do that anymore – but you also get a yearly gift. Now, I guess you don’t know what this yearly gift is. But before I tell you what it is, you also get a little letter. So this letter is from Mike Spencer-Hayter, the creative director of Love Island.”

Kai then read out what he claims the latter says. “‘Hi Kai, I just want to say a massive thank you to you for supporting Love Island for the last 10 years. To show our appreciation and because you are one of the most iconic Islanders to ever go on Love Island – I mean, without you, the show is not possible – we sent you a present, and this is the most elite gift of them all.'”

Kai then dramatically revealed that inside a Love Island-branded package shaped like a water bottle there was… drum roll please… a Love Island water bottle! Wow, who would have guessed that?

Well, Kai seemed to be very pleased with his present. He gushed: “It’s a Love Island water bottle! A new one! It’s got my name on it. So what I’m going to do now, is wherever I go, I’m going to take this Love Island water bottle, just so people know that I not only went on Love Island, but that I won the show. So this will be when I’m in the gym, if I’m at work, teaching, even when I’m driving my car I’ll put the bottle out the window and just sip from it.”

That sounds like something you would fail a driving test for.
