Harry responds to the viral rumour he had a ‘secret girlfriend’ before Love Island 2025

Harry Cooksley has responded to the rumour he had a secret girlfriend before going on Love Island 2025. It appears he’s been busy ahead of the villa, from getting hair transplants to telling girls he was off to Bali, not Love Island. Yikes.

As he was announced as part of the Love Island 2025 cast, a rumour began to circulate that Harry had a girlfriend, or someone that he was dating up until very recently. A girl told The Sun she was dating Harry, and said he told her he was off to Bali.

“I was dating Harry until the moment he sat on the flight going to Love Island,” she claimed. “He told me he was going to Bali and I genuinely thought we had a future together, but no. I’m not the only girl he’s done this too. Turns out he was dating a few people at once.”

She continued: “He called me for three hours before he jetted off to Love Island, and told me he was going to Bali to build a life for our family. It’s so scary how he lied to me, and I feel so broken. I’ve been completely blindsided by him. I also got a call from another girl after it came to light that he was going on the show, and she said he’d been dating her for seven months, at the same time that he was dating me.”

Speaking to The Tab prior to Love Island, Harry said there is an element of truth to what’s been said. But, he assured us there was “nothing serious” going on with anyone he was dating before the show.

“I’ve dated people leading up to the show,” he admitted. “I couldn’t tell anyone I was dating that I was going on the show.” Harry said he was under strict instruction to keep being part of the cast secret, so instead made up a story about why he was going off radar.

“It wasn’t a dumping,” he told The Tab, and explained he was casually dating someone, but they weren’t in a relationship. “I did tell her I was going away for the summer, yeah.”

Now, a bunch of TikToks have gone viral of people saying boys they were seeing have ended up in the villa. Literally anyone could post a video claiming this. And none of the girls have named Harry. But because of the prior rumours, people have been speculating it’s him the videos are about.

“The guy that was not ready for a relationship just walked into Love Island,” one viral clip said. Another said the boy they were seeing “didn’t text back” but is “actually just in the Love Island villa.” Oh dear.
