Jeff and Rhi’s wedding plans are a shocking contrast to Jacqui and Clint’s post-MAFS nuptials
Rhi recently dished on future wedding plans
MAFS Australia bride Rhi Disljenkovic recently spoke about a real-world wedding to Jeff Gobbels, and while they’ve not set a date or even put a ring on it, this is one reality TV wedding I am sitting and waiting for.
Not only are Jeff and Rhi the only matched MAFS couple still together, but they are an example of the wholesome love story we need more of on reality TV. Ahead of their one-year anniversary in July, Rhi spoke to Chattr about her relationship with Jeff, the possibility of wedding bells in the near future, and the little pitter-patter of kids.
“We’ve definitely spoken about marriage and kids, and that, it’s definitely on the cards, but I think it will be down the track. There’s a lot going on at the moment,” Rhi spilled. “I think the great thing about us post-show is the honeymoon period. It’s like it started all over again, just doing life together… we’ve moved in together, which is lovely.”
Though she didn’t reveal any specific details about the nuptials, Rhi did seem to rule out the possibility of a televised wedding unless anything major happens.
MAFS’ Rhi and Jeff won’t be having a televised wedding
Televised weddings are nothing particularly new in the reality TV scene, with names such as Catherine Giudici and Sean Lowe, and Kim Kardashian and Kanye West all getting hitched while surrounded by cameras. Never say never, but it’s just not Rhi and Jeff’s style.
“I think [a] wedding is more of an intimate thing,” she explained.”But then, in saying that, you know, it’s such a great thing to celebrate. And the world has already seen our relationship unfold on TV, but I never really thought about a televised wedding, to be honest.”

She didn’t completely rule out a televised event, but Rhi did talk about how many of her MAFS season 12 siblings would be in attendance. Of course, besties such as Jamie Marinos and Beth Kelly were top of her list.
“I would invite the MAFS cast. We’re friends with so many people still from the show, and we keep in contact. Like this weekend, I’m seeing Beth [Kelly] and Jamie [Marinos] pretty much the whole weekend, we’ve got things planned,” she added. “Definitely would invite a lot of the cast… some would miss out.”
Speaking of those who would “miss out” on the MAFS wedding, Jacqui Burfoot and Clint Rice’s upcoming wedding will proboably be starkly different to Jeff and Rhi’s.
“Nothing’s off the table. I think we’re always open to entertaining any discussion around what it is,” Clint earlier told Yahoo. I mean, of course it’s going to be televised, right? You can’t get attention from something that people don’t see, and we all know that Jacqui and Clint LOVE the attention.
Despite both Jacqui and Clint slamming Channel Nine because of their MAFS experiences, she continued to explain how it could even be hosted on the channel if they manage to work through some of the issues.
She said: “We always give people the benefit of the doubt and multiple chances, and we want to encourage the right behaviour. If people want to work with us, absolutely, we’ll forgive them and we’ll make it happen because at the end of the day, we keep everyone at arm’s length.
“If you like us, you like us. If you don’t, we don’t care, we do not need to work with you. We are happy working with positive organisations and things, and if you don’t want to work on this, that’s fine.”
It’s a battle of the TV star weddings, who’s gonna win?
