Girthmasterr, real name Ben, is an OnlyFans performer at the top of his game with boatloads of subscribers, a clearly healthy bank account, and a flourishing TikTok presence, but he didn’t start that way. At the age of 18, he entered the adult entertainment space at the behest of a former girlfriend, finally charging for the x-rated pictures and videos he had been posting for free on sites such as Tumblr and Reddit. Now, just a few years later, he’s pulling in $80k a month as a bona fide celebrity (pun intended).

With worldwide fame comes being recognised by your subscribers, with Girthmasterr telling Interview magazine that most people are “generally respectful” when they realise who he is.

“People are generally respectful, and because I do porn, no one’s going to shout ‘Girthmasterr’ in the street when they’re sober. If I go out, nightlife is a different story. People come up to me all the time when they’re drunk. But yeah, I just have to assume that at least one person’s going to recognise me every time I leave the house, which is fine. People are nice,” he said.

“They just usually give me a little head nod or something. But it also happened in West Hollywood. A lot of people. Someone stopped their car in traffic to shout my name.”

Girthmasterr is a straight porn performer and OnlyFans model, only filming content with women and by his lonesome. Naturally, you might assume that most of his subscribers are women or gay men.

“Yep, the gays love me too. Some gay men will message me to say that I’m the only straight person they’ll watch, they’ll still watch my straight porn just for me, even though they have no interest in anybody else,” he added.

Though gay men obviously make up some of his OnlyFans subscriber count, Girthmasterr told Rolling Stone how he estimates that only 15 per cent identify as gay, further noting “how I think there’s some flexibility there” in terms of sexual orientation labels. Approximating how the “majority” of his fanbase are men, this would suggest 75 per cent of them are straight.

A decent number of Girthmasterr’s OnlyFans subscribers might be gay, but that doesn’t mean the man himself will be breaking into the gay porn scene anytime soon. Don’t fear, though, it’s not from some stupid hangup based on homophobia, it’s actually the exact opposite.

“I only want to create things that I enjoy and that I kind of have a vision for,” he told Rolling Stone, estimating that 15 per cent of his subscribers identify as gay in real life. “I kind of feel like [if I shot gay content], I’d be ripping [gay fans] off. It would kind of be a cash grab in a sense. And I just wouldn’t feel ethical.”
