Let the showdown commence: It’s time to vote for your Glasgow 2024/25 BNOC winner
Glasgow’s top three BNOCs have made it to the final — now it’s time for you to decide who’s got the ultimate campus clout
Following numerous nominations, interviews, and serious campus clout being thrown around, we’re bringing you Glasgow’s most-nominated BNOC entrants.
It’s been emotional. It’s been chaotic. It’s been everything you’d expect from Glasgow’s finest. Now, it’s time to get serious (well, as serious as a BNOC competition can be). So, we’ve asked each finalist to spill the tea about themselves — and trust us, you’re going to want to read this before you cast your final vote.
Big names, big energy, big egos (maybe). Let’s meet them.
Henry Hickey, Strath, third year, Spanish and geography
First up, we have Henry Hickey — and with a pic like that, who wouldn’t want a Hickey from him? 😉
Henry was nominated for being the ultimate social butterfly, with a reputation for always being at the heart of the action. When we asked him where you’re most likely to find him, he said: “Either in Manuka for a Sports Wednesday or tucked away in the library.” A healthy balance, if you ask us.
Describing himself as bubbly, outgoing, and approachable, Henry’s the type of person who’s always up for a chat — whether it’s on a night out or between lectures. When he’s not hanging out with friends, you’ll probably spot him on the tennis courts, repping the Tennis Society.
If Henry’s your BNOC of choice, don’t leave him hanging — throw him a vote below!
Jordan Welsh, UofG, third year, international relations
Most Read
Next up, meet Jordan — the gym rat, resident Wunderbar West king, and library level six warrior (my floor of choice too J xx).
Describing himself as gay, hench, and tanned (and honestly, we can’t argue), he’s got the full package.
He’s a Hive and Polo regular, and no one rocks a skin fade and perm quite like he does. When he’s not too busy working on his perfect TikTok angles or sliding into Hinge DMs, you’ll find him submitting extension requests and living for a good cocktail. He’s basically the living definition of “I’m here for a good time, not a long time”.
If Jordan’s your BNOC, don’t even think about not voting for him — he’s a mood, and you know it.
Aaryan Girvan, UofG, second year, zoology
Next up, we have Aaryan — a true Glasgow enigma and a Snapchat Uni story sensation.
You probably know him as the guy who posts from the middle of nowhere at 2am, usually surrounded by trees in Renfrewshire like he’s some kind of wilderness guru. You’ll also catch him on the fifth floor of JMS or sipping a pint at Wetherspoons, but really, we all know he’s secretly living in the woods.
Aaryan describes himself as imperial, saintly, humble. His hobbies? Fighting (MMA or weapons, no one really knows), exploring the wilderness at night like a modern-day Tarzan, bargain hunting for obscure treasures, and casually taming creatures (probably to build an army, honestly).
Aaryan’s also a pure comedian, spreading wisdom and joy wherever he goes, whether he’s cracking jokes or dropping life advice you never knew you needed. He’s joined a few societies (but don’t ask how often he actually shows up), and he’s even thinking about starting his own. Big plans are in the works, obviously.
If Aaryan’s your BNOC, don’t just stand there like you’re lost in the woods — hit that vote below and join the chaos!
So, there you have it — Glasgow’s finest BNOC contenders. Whether you’ve got the hots for Henry, vibing with Jordan’s mix of cocktails and chaos, or ready to join Aaryan on his next forest adventure, it’s time to make your choice.
Let the best Weegie win!
