‘We were never in love’: Tori heartbreakingly speaks out about why she and Jack split after MAFS

Tori has spoken out about why she and Jack split up after MAFS Australia 2024, and it’s a lot more brutal than you might have expected. The couple stayed together after the experiment, but then last month revealed one year on, it had all come to an end.

At first, things looked pretty amicable between the pair. They said at the time: “As of a few weeks ago, we have decided to end our romantic relationship. We remain best of friends and still care for and respect one another deeply.” But now, Tori has done an interview about their breakup, and it’s more heartbreaking than it seemed.

Speaking on the MAFS Funny podcast, Tori pretty brutally said she and Jack were “never deeply in love” and said it was disappointing they have now validated people who didn’t think they’d work out after the show. She also spoke about how not much has changed between them, despite them no longer being in a romantic relationship.

“People I think are expecting this really juicy tea. Someone did something really nasty to the other person and it’s just vile. It’s just not the case,” Tori said.

She was then asked how she felt about the split, knowing that they got such huge backlash after MAFS Australia with people saying they wouldn’t last. Tori responded: “All of those nasty vile people that wished us ill and had all of those nasty things to say about us and the naysayers – like we’ve effectively validated their sh*tty comments.”

Speaking more about her relationship with Jack and why they broke up, Tori added:  “Jack and I just never got to that point of falling deeply in love with one another.”

Tori then said she and Jack are still “in a good place”. She added: “We put in the hard work. But at the end of the day, that was that. It wasn’t for lack of trying, we just figured out we’re really good friends.”

The pair are still “the best of mates” and live together, they are just “no longer boyfriend and girlfriend.” Tori said: “We still go to the gym together, it might be confusing for some people, but not much has changed. It’s strange.”

When they announced their split, the couple shared a photo from their final vows on MAFS. They added: “We are so grateful to have shared so many wonderful experiences together and will cherish them forever. We thank our families for their unconditional love and support. We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude for all the love and support that you guys have shown us throughout.”
