Awhina’s sister Cleo reveals disgraceful MAFS lunch was ‘much worse’ and loads was cut
She didn’t even have anyone to defend her
Awhina deserves so much better after that explosive attack during the MAFS Australia friends and family lunch, and it was far worse than what was shown on TV.
Adrian’s two sisters and friend Jasmin brutally ganged up on the bride around the table, firing vicious shots at the bride and rudely criticising her parenting.
One of the sisters said you “can’t polish a turd” while the other added: “You can put a ribbon on a garbage bin, but it’s still trash.”
Awhina’s twin sister had her back when she could, but they were actually attacking Awhina long before Cleo walked in – and most of it was cut!
During an interview on Megan Pustetto’s So Dramatic! podcast, Cleo was asked whether what we saw of the lunch was an “accurate portrayal” of what happened.
“I think it was worse. I think it was much worse,” she said. “They didn’t air a lot of what they were saying to my sister before I started jumping in.”

Cleo said Adrian’s sisters and pal were “attacking her far worse than what was shown” and claimed they were ganging up on Awhina long before she walked into the room.
“When I walked in there, I could see that my sister looked completely distraught from the minute I walked through there,” she continued.
The twin sister said it was “unfair” and “upsetting” that she wasn’t allowed to enter the room straight away, allowing time for “the pack” to attack Awhina with no defense.
“I arrived in Sydney the night before. I was ready by 5am. I was with them early hours. I could have been there first. I could have been there for her.”

“I hadn’t spoken to her all morning as well, so it was hard for me to go in there and see that her eyes were puffy. I know my sister. I could tell she’d been crying,” she continued.
“Then straight away when I mentioned it and they dismissed me, I knew straight away what they were trying to do.”
