Katie’s unexpected career change after Tim did her dirty on MAFS Australia 2025

She’s putting her experiences on MAFS to good use

Katie Johnston really drew the short straw on MAFS Australia 2025. Tim has to be one of the least committed MAFS grooms, like, ever. But some good came out of the show, because Katie’s stint on MAFS Australia has inspired a new career change.

Katie still runs a group of restaurants and cafes called EATS. But she’s in the process of launching a new business side quest.

After her MAFS Australia marriage to Tim… Katie is creating an online course to help women spot toxic traits in men. Yup, you read that correctly.

She’s been working on the course for at least six months, ever since filming for the show wrapped up. The course will teach women to spot toxic traits in potential romantic partners, and to analyse unhealthy patterns in their own past behaviour. The programme will give women the tools to feel more confident in themselves. Plus, the course will be free. Where can I sign up?

Apparently her 48 hour long relationship with Tim and the ensuing drama was “the catalyst that pushed her to address her issues and learn where they come from”.

A source connected to MAFS told Yahoo Lifestyle: “Most people have no idea that Katie has a degree in behavioural science and a major in psychology, and she’s very passionate about using everything she’s been through and learned about herself to help other women.”

Katie did in fact get a distinction in her undergraduate degree in behavioural science, industrial and organisational psychology at Queensland University of Technology. I do not understand what that course actually is, but it sounds very intellectual and impressive.

Hopefully Katie will have a better time working on her new career than she did on MAFS Australia x
