Right, what did Grace *actually* say in those Love Island screenshots and are they real?

The last few days have been rife with the drama of some *alleged* screenshots Grace Jackson sent about wanting to win Love Island. Now, there are so many posts all over the internet, it’s hard to tell if anything is legit.

The drama all started on Sunday, when we saw the dumped All Stars Islanders come back to decide on one couple to dump ahead of the final. Olivia Hawkins derailed the chat, when she shared a bombshell. Grace and Luca weren’t even up for debate, but she said the couple didn’t deserve to be safe.

She then explained: “So I’ve seen text messages of Grace just saying to someone that she’ll do whatever it takes to win the show.” The other Islanders were shook, and Grace demanded to know who the messages were from. Liv wouldn’t say. “I’ve literally got the receipts,” Liv claimed. Samie then added: “We’ve all seen the screenshots.”

Since then, the drama has been brought up once again during the final, and everyone is going crazy sharing the screenshots. So, here’s a breakdown of what we know about the saga, and what’s definitely been made up.

On Monday, ahead of the final, a bunch of the apparent texts were leaked. Messages circulating around TikTok and Instagram appear to show Grace saying: “I am being dead serious we can bet on it. I will win this.” Another read: “I’ll do anything to..I can win this time gurl. In it to win it babe.”

It’s been claimed the source of the leak is Joey Essex – and that’s who Grace was texting. In one of the messages it does appear to show Grace saying “No Joey”.

Despite the apparent receipts, the overall consensus (and by that I mean people on Reddit who know all about these things) is that the pictures look Photoshopped. Some of the screenies are missing Grace’s Instagram verification badge, and others have some suspicious blurs around the messages, that come when you edit things.

After the first lot were posted, more and more started to flood in. More messages appeared to show Grace texting a mystery person: “I go on in less than three weeks I’m pretty sure… scared.” When the other person told her “the crown will look good on you”, Grace appeared to say back: “Hopefully. I’d love to win just not sure if there genuinely is someone for me. Like, love is a bonus, it’s a great opportunity plus I would love to win.”

There are also messages claiming to be between Grace and her management. “I’ll do everything and anything in my power to win babe,” a number claiming to be Grace said. The reply said: “Just think of the fame and model shoots you could get from it.” Again, there’s no real evidence these are legit.

Luca’s mum waded in, alongside a bunch of Grace’s friends saying any screenshots are fake

Grace has a lot of people defending her corner right now. On the show her bestie Harriett said Liv must have “made up” the messages. On a live stream after the dumping, Montel, Marcel and Nas said then said there are “no receipts” to support Liv’s claims, hinting they haven’t seen any proof.

Grace’s friends are online furiously backing her. Some have called Liv’s claims “all lies” and they’ve also been branded “fake news” by Grace’s Love Island ex, Reuben.

People are also sharing a screenshot appearing to be from Luca’s mum, calling Liv a liar. She seems to think Liv has a motive for saying Grace sent the messages. The screenshots appear to show Luca’s mum claiming: “Liv you told me you wouldn’t stop at anything to get with Luca when he left the island. So this is interesting.”

Former Islander Mitch posted some screenshots, and then admitted he made them up hoping it would allow Casey and Gabby to win

There’s Love Island drama, so of course Messy Mitch was going to be involved somehow. Everyone went mad when Mitch posted what he claimed to be the *real* screenshots of Grace talking about wanting to win Love Island All Stars. The screenshot looked like a real Instagram DM between Grace and a mystery person and even had her name and profile picture at the top.

But, he’s since said he made them up. Why you might ask? He thought it would stop people voting for Grace and Luca, and therefore his mate Casey would win. Um, did Mitch do this and it worked?!

“Aww thank you babe. I will win this time! I’ll do anything to,” the message he faked showed Grace saying. So, if you see these messages dotting around – they’re definitely not real!
