Explained: This OnlyFans model stormed off a podcast in tears and there’s a lot of drama

It’s honestly difficult to watch

If you’ve been on TikTok today you might have watched OnlyFans model Rebecca Goodwin storming off the Reality Check podcast as she accused the hosts of “bullying” her.

The clips are racking up millions of views on TikTok and Instagram, and though she undoubtedly said some questionable things, most people seem to be directing their anger at the hosts. Here’s why.

Who is Rebecca Goodwin?

Rebecca Goodwin is an OnlyFans model with 255k followers on Instagram and a further 260k followers on TikTok. She began her life in poverty, struggling to heat her home, raise two daughters as a single mother, and put food on the table. That was until she started OnlyFans and earned £1,600 in just 10 days.

Though she’s obviously most well known for her x-rated material, Rebecca has used her huge platform to help other people. She started an affordable housing scheme in 2023, purchasing and doing up properties before renting them out to unprivileged families, and has been an outspoken advocate for women’s rights on social media.

Rebecca now earns a massive £100,000 a month through the platform.

Why are people so angry about the Reality Check podcast?

This week, Rebecca Goodwin drove three hours for an unpaid appearance on the Reality Check podcast. Hosted by Shuan Maroof and CJ McKenna, the podcast has a history of berating OnlyFans models for views.

When clips of the podcast were posted before the actual episode, the reaction on TikTok was pretty much against the hosts and supportive of Rebecca. To combat the rising animosity, they posted the full episode on YouTube but it had the opposite effect.

The first 15 minutes of the podcast were largely about Rebecca’s decision to put a Snapchat filter on her private parts, but after getting past that truly gripping segment, the rest of the episode centred on Rebecca’s contributions to society.

Rebecca attempted to explain that she’d paid over £200k in tax last year alone, and the fact she was building low-income housing, but the lads wanted more. They wanted her to admit that doing OnlyFans was not contributing to society but they seemed to miss the irony of that line coming from hosts of a podcast.

The explosive episode ended after the three men mocked Rebecca’s choice to take her kids on a nationwide camper van trip. She branded them the “most disrespectful people” ever before grabbing her hair straighteners and vacating the building.

We know from the likes of Bonnie Blue and Lily Phillips that comment sections quickly become deplorable, but in this case, people largely stood behind Rebecca.

On YouTube, one person wrote: “Snoring as she spoke, calling her names, talking over her, mimicking her voice, begging for money, raising voices all at once, diminishing her many accomplishments and laughing in her face. Which bit are you calling ‘banter’? This is a masterclass in the problem with men in society today.”

“What’s strikingly obvious is how much more intelligent she is than the 3 of them put together,” another said.

A third wrote: “Sitting behind a microphone with your buddies creating a podcast you’re not even getting paid for and asking what she contributes is wild.”

After storming off the Reality Check podcast, Rebecca Goodwin posted a lengthy TikTok accusing the hosts of bullying her.

Her eyes were full of tears as she said: “It’s funny because one of the guys is literally an OnlyFans model and all they do is drag OnlyFans girls down to absolutely rip them to s**t. I am very lucky that someone decided to bring me here today because I was going to come on my own to a proper studio but it wasn’t. It was just three horrible men that decided to rip me to s**t and refuse to let me speak.”

In another long Instagram post, she further added: “I know very well what it takes to make a successful social media clip, you want controversy, you want views, I understand that. I also completely understand that you are legally allowed to post any raw/edited clips of the podcast, and use my face to boost your views.”

The hosts, who over the last 24 hours have been debating people on TikTok live about the episode, posted a statement after being accused of bullying by Rebecca and literally thousands of other people.

In the video, Shuan Maroof said: “I just want to make a statement out seeing as Becky has made her statement, but, no one was bullying anyone. We were questioning a few of the things she said which were very normal statements when she was making quite outrageous claims such as asking for a shaved vagina is paedophilia. We had to question a few of those claims and it got to a point where she didn’t like us arguing back with her.”

Please can someone start a petition to ban podcasts? I’m over it.
