Kim Kardashian emotionally speaks out about all the times Kanye would dictate what she wore

The strange Grammys stunt between Kanye West and Bianca Censori might have been a joint decision or a more individual one, but Kim Kardashian has been very open about Kanye’s opinions on her outfits.

During multiple episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians alongside interviews, Kim has explained how she’d become filled with “anxiety” over what her then-husband would think about what she’d chosen to wear.

Kanye made her ‘throw away’ her old clothes

During an interview with LOVE, Kim explained that when she first met Kanye her style changed completely and he made her “throw away” her old clothes.

She revealed: “I was obsessed with glitter, rhinestone heels and the kind of clothes I now laugh at, and he threw them all out.

“I said, ‘Well I’m going to save them for my daughter one day.’ And he said, ‘Well if it’s going to be our daughter, she’s never going to wear those!’” Yikes.

He called her to say her ‘career was over’ after she wore something he didn’t like

On another episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim emotionally admitted that Kanye had told her she could “no longer” wear “big glasses” anymore.

She told Kourtney: “He sent me a whole email like, ‘You cannot wear big glasses anymore. It’s all about tiny little glasses. He sent me, like, millions of ’90s photos with tiny little glasses like this.”

She continued: “He called me afterwards. He told me my career was over. And then he showed me a picture of Marge Simpson wearing something similar.”

Another intervention occurred when the night before the Met Gala, Kanye told Kim he didn’t like her corset dress as he thought it was too tight and revealing.

He told her: A corset is like a form of underwear. It’s hot. It’s like, it’s hot for who, though?”

Kim clapped back, venting: “So the night before the Met, you’re gonna come in here and say that you’re not into a corset bust?

“I’m getting really bad anxiety. What are you talking about? I don’t need any more negative energy for you to now say that you’re not into me in a tight dress.”

He described one of her outfits as making him ‘so mad’

Kanye even messaged Kim Kardashian to tell her that one of her outfits made him “so mad” that he would’ve gone to “jail” rather than be seen out and about in what she had worn. Funny, because you weren’t the one wearing the outfit were you Kanye?

Kim eventually admitted to having panic attacks as a result

Eventually, Kim grew so used to Kanye telling her what to wear that she revealed she started having panic attacks following their divorce. She tearily confessed: “I got to a point where I would ask him for advice for everything — down to what I wear. Even now I’m having panic attacks like, what do I wear?”
