Omg, we found clips of Ekin-Su acting in a Turkish soap and she needs a Bafta
Get her on Hollyoaks with Curtis
Ekin-Su has never been off our screens since she debuted on Love Island in 2022 and instantly became an icon, going on to win the whole show and becoming a telly legend in the process. Since then, she’s done the TV show rounds and has popped up on Dancing On Ice, Celebrity Big Brother AND The Traitors US – with a mixed response on all. But even before Love Island, she was on the silver screen – and we found clips of Ekin-Su pre Love Island acting up a storm in a Turkish soap. And let’s just say she’s ALWAYS had a flair for the uber dramatic.
With Ekin-Su and Curtis having the most melodramatic encounters we’re likely to see on reality telly this year, cast your mind back to her antics on Turkish soaps way before Love Island with these wild clips.
If you want to know what’s happening, you might be in trouble a bit. Unless you can speak Turkish, of course. YouTube auto-translated captions are cursed and I’m not sure they’re accurate (According to YouTube, the main guy said he’s “turned up to blow you” on the phone to another man, which considering Turkey’s stance on the rights of LGBTQ people doesn’t quite seem like it’s correct to me).
From what I can scramble together to make out, Ekin-Su is a photographer from London who’s in chapters 33-39. She’s on a beach in the clip, and is after entry to a house with the lead character Kuzey. It’s hard to follow! Ekin-Su did say on Love Island back in the day that she played a serial killer – it’s unclear if this is that role. Save yourself, Kuzey!

The soap itself is called North Star, First Love – aka Kuzey Yudilzi. According to IMDb, the plot centres around Kuzey being “forced to move to his hometown, the Black Sea Region, with his daughters. As neighbors with Yildiz, whom he had abandoned in his past. Yildiz intends to send them back to Istanbul at all costs.”
It’s the new Corrie as far as I’m concerned.
