Mariah shares unseen moment where producers refused to help her on The Ultimatum

As if season three needed any more drama

Mariah has shared an unseen moment that didn’t make the final cut of The Ultimatum season three involving the producers of the show refusing to help her. The Ultimatum season three already brought enough tension when four contestants, including Chanel and Micah, quit without a word. The rest of The Ultimatum season three was left in a mess, with Sandy and J.R. holding the fort on the drama from now on. Mariah and Caleb have been one of the least problematic recouples on the show, but Mariah shared an interesting detail about filming The Ultimatum that was really eye-opening behind the scenes.

On an Instagram Q&A yesterday, Mariah was asked what the funniest situation that happened while filming was. Mariah was careful not to give away too much drama about the show in light of the reunion coming out on 18th December, but she did share a pretty hilarious anecdote about the producers refusing to help her on set.

On her story, she wrote, “I can’t speak on too many things until the season wraps but…”

She continued: “When I lived alone, there were several moments where I struggled to open jars, wine bottles, etc.”

“Production isn’t allowed to intervene or speak to us at any point during filming, so I would literally struggle for a solid five minutes on camera – only to give up and put whatever it was away.” I’m sorry but that is actually so mean. Imagine trying to open a bottle for ages and eventually just giving up while a whole camera crew watches you struggle.

The Ultimatum creator has defended his decision to not be filming 24/7

Show creator Chris Coelen defended his decision to not constantly be filming the couples, despite there being cameras in communal areas on the show.

“We always have a line to them, but they are living their lives,” he explained. “And in this particular program, we do have mounted cameras but we’re not obviously in their apartment with them or at their door 24/7. And so we are, every single day, very conscious of making sure that we are connected to them or checking in with them.

He continued: “We’re apprised to everything that’s going on with them to the extent that they tell us. I think people are aware enough of that, that if they ever feel like they need something, they know to reach out to us.”

Yet nobody could have given poor Mariah a hand?
