Cardiff Wrapped: Here are the most popular artists amongst Cardiff students in 2024

Cardiff, you’ve got pretty basic music taste.

Not that that’s a problem, of course, who doesn’t have Charli XCX somewhere in their top five for 2024?

There are a few honourable mentions of some artists who are far and few. One student’s top artist was Harry Nilsson, a popular 60s and 70s American singer-songwriter. Another mentioned Ghali, an Italian rapper, and finally Zolita, an alternative pop artist who takes her inspiration from Lady Gaga.

Quite a few had Taylor Swift (standard) at number one and who is surprised after her sell-out nights at the Principality in June?

It’s not as surprising, however, as the vast hours you spent queueing for a Wednesday sports night.

A handful of students had the likes of Harry Styles, The 1975, Amy Winehouse, The Smiths and Black Country, New Road.

Some mentioned artists are even going to be performing in Cardiff in the coming months:

Lana Del Rey hits the Principality in June, Berlioz are taking over Tramshed in February, Gracie Abrams will be at the Utilita Arena in March and of course, Oasis are kicking off their reunion tour at the Principality Stadium at the end of July.
