The most pop-u-u-lar Wicked soundtrack songs, ranked by Spotify streams

The Wicked soundtrack officially has the highest debut for an adaptation of a stage musical ever. But all the songs from the Wicked film soundtrack vary wildly in how many streams they’re racking up on Spotify. Like, the most popular song (see what I did there?) has almost seven times as many streams as the least popular song.

So, here are all the songs on the Wicked film soundtrack, ranked by how many Spotify streams they have right now.

12. A Sentimental Man – 3.8 million streams

I’m not surprised that everyone is skipping the weird creepy Jeff Goldblum song.

11. Ozdust Duet – Bonus Track – 5.1 million streams

This twinkly background music is actually quite cute, but I reckon everyone is all Wicked-ed out once they’ve made it this far down the album.

10. Something Bad – 5.9 million streams

This is the weird Peter Dinklage goat song. It’s only one minute and 48 seconds, but that’s still one minute and 48 seconds too long. I’m amazed it got this many streams, to be fair.

9. Dear Old Shiz – 6.2 million streams

The magic uni is a vibe. This song is not.

Let’s be real – the only reason Dear Old Shiz has 6.2 million streams is because 6.2 million people were too lazy to skip it after No One Mourns the Wicked but before The Wizard And I.

8. One Short Day – 7.1 million streams

One Short Day is really not short, which might be why people are skipping it. Surely it’s worth streaming for the cheeky Idina Menzel and Kristen Chenoweth cameos, though.

I remember this song made me feel things, but I also can’t recall a single lyric. Not surprised it’s got a very mediocre amount of streams.

6. The Wizard And I – 10.9 million streams

This song is both tragically beautiful and beautifully tragic. I hope the 10.9 million people who listened to it are okay.

5. No One Mourns The Wicked – 11.7 million streams

Presumably these 11.7 million streams came from people having to relisten to the song ten times to figure out what the hell Ariana Grande is actually singing? Her voice is higher than a skyscraper. Or a gap yaaaaaaar student in Magaluf.

4. Dancing Through Life – 11.8 million streams

Dancing Through Life is such a vibey road trip song because your friends can sing/screech as all the different characters. Plus, you get to here Jonathan Bailey sing.

3. What Is This Feeling? – 18.8 million streams

This song slaps and I’m so pleasantly surprised it’s getting the Spotify streams it deserves. Consider my faith in humanity restored.

2. Popular – 22.2 million streams

It’s really not a shock that Popular is one of the most popular songs on the Wicked film soundtrack. Like, the clue’s in the name. What a blessing that Ariana Grande stuck to her guns and sang it in the OG musical theatre style.

1. Defying Gravity – 25.7 million streams

Nobody in all of Oz, no wizard that there is or was, is ever going to briiiiing this song’s Spotify steaming numbeeeeers doooooooooooooown. Okay, it doesn’t have quite the same ring to it. But you get my point.
