All the signs Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan were heading for an imminent breakup

There were rumours Sabrina Carpenter and her boyfriend Barry Keoghan had ended their relationship back in September but it seems they’ve well and truly decided to call it time.

A source confirmed to PEOPLE: “They are both young and career-focused, so they’ve decided to take a break.” Whilst the reasons for their split are still unclear, there were actually some pretty obvious signs the relationship between Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan was headed for the rocks that somehow we didn’t spot.

They went ‘on a break’ in September

According to US Weekly, the pair had a break from their relationship in September and whilst they did then get back together anyone who’s ever been in a relationship knows going on a break is the beginning of the end.

Didn’t talk about her much in a podcast with Louis Theroux

If anyone is going to get the truth out of you it’s Louis Theroux and whilst he was very good at just outright asking Barry whether he was with Sabrina or not, Barry was very coy with his answer.

Louis asked: “Are we talking about Sabrina or not, are you in a relationship with her or not?”

Barry simply responded: “I’m incredibly blessed. She’s such a strong, independent lady who’s massively talented and special.”

Yes, I know a lot of people counted his appearance in the Please, Please, Please music video as their unofficial hard launch but in my eyes I need an Instagram dump of the last three to six months when everyone knew you were together but you were keeping it a secret.

I mean they both attended the Met Gala together yet Barry only posted pictures of himself on his socials, I’m sorry but it’s a no from me.

Since neither has ever explicitly stated they’re in a relationship with the other on Instagram in my eyes have they even been together the past year? Get a man who shows you off, please.

Well maybe now they’re no longer together there will be more time for continued drama with Camilla Cabello and Shawn Mendes…
