Kate Nash is using OnlyFans to fund her tour and her statement on why is utterly iconic
‘Are you sad music has little to no value? My a*se is shining a light on the problem’
Kate Nash has always been an icon, but her latest move is her biggest mic drop moment yet. Most people will remember Kate Nash for her first album, 2007’s Made of Bricks – where hit single Foundations made her a household name. Follow up singles Mouthwash and Pumpkin Soup did well, but she seemed to get lumped as a one hit wonder. Whilst Kate Nash has stuck to releasing interesting music with critical acclaim in the years since, she’s never hit the same commercially successful heights again. Kate Nash just revealed that to fund her tours, she has set up an OnlyFans with bum pics – and her statement on why is one of the most powerful to come out of the music industry in ages.
Kate Nash has dropped her campaign – Butts For Tour Buses. Whilst giving 20 per cent off her ticket price for the first 20 subscribers to her OnlyFans, Kate Nash explained why funding this tour is hard, saying “Touring makes losses not profits. Help me stay on tour, pay great wages and put on a high quality show by buying a piece of my arse or merch. Don’t worry about streaming my music, I’m good for the 0.003 of a penny thanks bruv. Woo!”
A sorry state that streaming services pay so low, but an iconic move nonetheless.
Writing on Instagram, Kate Nash explained further “Don’t be ‘sad’ that I started an OnlyFans to fund my tours. It’s very empowering and selling pics of my arse is fun & funny, sex is fun & funny.

“Women being in control of their bodies is vital and something we should all be standing by and fighting for. If you could remove shame and sadness from your perception of sex work you can help empower sex workers. Is what I’m doing sex work? I’m not sure, you tell me but I love supporting sex workers especially when they are in control and setting their own boundaries. I am a SUPERFAN of women in charge of their bodies & sex lives & feminist porn creators.
“Are you sad music has little to no value? Would you be interviewing me or writing about me or talking about me if I had simply posted ‘going on tour, the business is shit, help me protect my employees & integrity of my show’? Would my tour be on the front page of Reddit 2 days in a row? Fuck no it wouldn’t. My arse is shining a light on the problem. Honestly I’m such a legend for this.”
Honestly she is. Really powerful stuff. If you can afford to, support a true legend in the music industry right now who always has a great point of view and creative vision.
