Caspar reveals shocking moment he regrets not ‘walking out’ of MAFS UK and quitting entirely
‘There’s a part of me that wishes I left then’
Caspar has spoken more about his time on MAFS UK, admitting there was a moment he was seriously considering “getting up and walking out” of the show entirely because he felt so frustrated.
During an appearance on the Lara on Eyre: MAFS UK Edition podcast, Caspar touched upon his reasons for participating in MAFS UK in the first place, saying it was “only for love” and he had “no interest in being in a drama show.”
He admitted he “wasn’t enjoying the whole experience” and “didn’t like being treated like a child” whilst on the show. Caspar claimed Emma was more of a “free spirit” and she “loved filming” MAFS and “being on MAFS.” Why does that sound like he’s insinuating she wasn’t on the show for love…
Lara then talked to Caspar about the week when he “lost his sh*t” at the experts, adding he’d said, “at the end, you mentioned that’s when you should have gone.” She then asked him whether he “wished he’d gone earlier than he did.”
Caspar confessed: “If you want to do it in chronological order, I was very close during the first commitment ceremony of just getting up and walking out because I didn’t feel like we’d put enough effort. But each expert says something negative and each says something positive to both parties so they’ve got something for the narrative.”
He touched upon what happened during the first MAFS UK commitment ceremony, which if you need a refresher was after their honeymoon when Caspar admitted Emma wasn’t really his type and that whole saga went down.

He continued: “I didn’t want to sit there and have an argument with Emma about the semantics of what I said.
“Emma tells the experts what was said and I’m sitting there just going like, ‘yes I know I did wrong and I said the wrong thing but I’ve already apologised for this’ and each expert is saying it’s a bad thing. But I’ve just said ‘this is my life you’re f*cking with’ and I’m wondering what I’m doing here.
He added: “And there’s a part of me that wishes I left then, I was about to get up and walk out but Lacey collapses in the filming, I think she faints. So I then go out and have a cigarette, by the time I’ve come back in the way the experts are dealing with everything has completely changed and I think production knew how close I was to just saying ‘see you later.’
“And production don’t want to say ‘we’ve lost a couple in week one.’ So I was very close to getting up and walking out at that point.” Safe to say I don’t think MAFS was the right choice of show for Caspar, I feel like Countryfile or Gardener’s World is more up his alley to be honest.
