Real reason Tulisa and Reverend Richard Coles are exempt from I’m A Celeb height trials

We have answers!

During I’m A Celeb last night Ant and Dec informed viewers that both Tulisa and Reverend Richard Coles would be “exempt” from being voted to do the upcoming trial.

But why exactly are Tulisa and Reverend Richard Coles exempt from taking part in the next bushtucker trial on I’m A Celeb? Well, let’s find out, shall we?

The camera picked up Tulisa explaining to her campmates that she knows the next trial would be “heights” as it’s “what I’m medically exempt from.”

This is most likely a result of her Bell’s Palsy which can cause sudden weakness and paralysis in the face, and as a result, it would be dangerous for Tulisa to be up high by herself in case she suffered from a flare up.

Tulisa previously spoke out about a severe episode she had just seven months ago, telling Olivia Atwood on the So Wrong It’s Right podcast: “When I was about 24, I had my first Bell’s Palsy attack. So I sat at home and I had a massive burst of inflammation and it went down but my whole face dropped – eye, everything.

“I couldn’t move it, my face remained like that for seven months, I didn’t go out, I just hid in the house.”

As for Reverend Richard Coles, he admitted before he went into the jungle that he’s previously “frozen up with fear” from just going up a stepladder, so he could have a medically serious fear of heights.

He told MailOnline: “I actually froze with fear on a stepladder the other day on the second rung up. Anything up high. So anything which means walking from a horrible rickety tightrope or something, that will be scary.”
