Praise the lord, liking Anna Kendrick is cool again. She just directed and starred in an amazing new movie called Woman of the Hour, then donated all the money Netflix paid her to anti-sexual violence charities. What a queen.

So, here is a ranking of all Anna Kendrick’s weirdest and most bizarre moments from all the years she’s been causing chaos.

5. Whatever this was with James Corden

Tragically for all involved, Anna Kendrick and James Corden once attempted to parody Pitch Perfect and have a riff-off on The Late Late Show. For nine and a half tedious minutes. The most disturbing thing about this video is that 71 million people have watched it.

I can’t think of a better video to explain the difference between British and American humour. The US is welcome to keep James Corden for a little longer.

4. Legit forgetting she starred in four Twilight movies

You may remember that Anna Kendrick played Bella’s snarky friend Jessica Stanley – pretty much the only person in Bella’s life who she isn’t related to or isn’t falling in love with. Anna Kendrick did not remember. To be fair to her, New Moon is extremely forgettable.

She tweeted in 2018, “Holy sh*t. I just remembered I was in Twilight.”

Anna Kendrick clarified what she was on about last week on the Call Her Daddy podcast. Anna is actually grateful she had such a mediocre role in Twilight, because the franchise didn’t take over her life.

3. There was a rumour she asked her boobs to be photoshopped bigger than Blake Lively’s 

So, Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively were in a supposedly comedic crime film called A Simple Favour together. Apparently they weren’t pleased about it.

A crew member from A Simple Favour told The Celebrity Memoir Book Club podcast, “They hated each other. The studio even had to have a talk with them about making it look like they liked each other on press tours because it was starting to get obvious.

“Anna in particular was really competitive with Blake and was constantly asking to make sure she got more promotion than Blake and even made us photoshop her cleavage in the Simple Favor poster to be as big (or bigger) than Blake’s.”

They definitely didn’t seem keen on each other during press events.

Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively can’t hate each other too much though, because they’re making a sequel to this film together? I can’t wait for more drama (in the narrative tension of the film, of course).

2. The Katy Perry cleavage fingerbang

No, this isn’t the title of a very creepy Wattpad story. On Conan, Anna Kendrick described a very, ahem, memorable party after the 2014 Grammys. She said, “Katy Perry finger-banged my cleavage. It was a weird night. She’s very mature. She’s aggressive. I like it. I was kind of asking for it. If nobody had done it, I would have been a little sad.”

Do I really need to elaborate on this? Anna Kendrick has starred as a luminous pink troll princess in a trilogy of jukebox musical action comedy genre-defying adventure films loosely based on some weird-looking plastic toys that weren’t even cool in the 1980s. I would advise not watching one unless you’re very, very drunk.
