The Elphaba doll outfit isn’t even in Wicked and the reason will get you excited

Did someone say bonus scenes?!

The official name of Wicked Part Two has just been revealed, Wicked: For Good, and it’s got people super excited for the next installment.

Annoyingly, it doesn’t come out until November 2025 so you’ve got ages to wait, but what if there was a chance you could see new scenes before that?!

Eagle-eyed people have noticed the outfit that the official Elphaba doll, which was released as merchandise alongside the film, isn’t actually in the movie at all.

The toy wears a Shiz University uniform with a grey pleated skirt, cardigan, and black boots. Cynthia Erivo’s doll also carries a satchel and a book with a ribbon wrapped around it.

So, what does this have to do with extra scenes? Well, the outfit she’s wearing is actually from a deleted scene that producers decided to cut from the film.

Pictures of the scene have been shared online, showing Elphaba, Glinda, Fiyero, Boq, and Nessarose walking through a field. The photos are from the set, and you can see cameras and cameramen around them.

“They did all this for a scene NOT INCLUDED in the film it’s useless, I think there’ll be an extended cut somewhere,” someone wrote on X.

Another said: “I think a Bluray with 15 additional minutes will come out next year!! I remember I saw it somewhere.”

“It will more than likely be in the extended cut and/or in the second movie as a flashback,” a third person added.

The doll famously caused a stir a few months ago when people realised the link on the back was wrong and took you to an adult site – not the Wicked movie website. Mattel is being sued $5 million for it.

So, keep your eyes peeled when Wicked comes out on DVD in 2025 because there could be an extended cut that includes extra bonus scenes.
