Stephen defends cheating and proves he really did get a sleep test done on Love Is Blind

After getting, very validly, called out online for cheating on Monica during Love Is Blind, Stephen is fighting for his life on Instagram and has not only defended his actions but also shot down the theory he never actually got a sleep test, proving he definitely did.

In case you need a little refresher on what exactly went down between Stephen and Monica on Love Is Blind, essentially she found him sexting another woman and the texts were really weird. She’s since revealed exactly what he said and it’s both juicy and also so gross.

At the time Stephen had said he was away the night before doing a “sleep test” which Monica was very understandably sceptical of, as were a lot of Love Is Blind fans and assumed he was cheating instead.

However, Stephen has now debunked claims he wasn’t actually at a sleep test by posting photos of himself doing said test. He did his test on October 25, 2023, and said at the time: “The doctors are monitoring if I have psychic powers or not.” He reposted the picture, adding: “Looks like I must have psychic powers because I totally saw this upset campaign a year ago.”

In an interview with People, Stephen was asked what the biggest lesson he learned from going through the cheating scandal, and he admitted: “It is probably smart to put a password on your phone.” This man.

He also appeared to blame some of his behaviour on going through “Lexapro withdrawal” which is an antidepressant prescription drug. On the Love Is Blind Addicts page, one user posted a screenshot of a conversation they had with Stephen in his Instagram comments.

They explained: “I told him it was a cop out that he made himself the victim by saying ‘I don’t deserve much’ or ‘being a disappointment seems to be a recurring theme in my life’ to dodge accountability when she was crying and hurting. He’s not a victim. He made those choices and of this sis a frequent thing in his life, saying ‘poor me I’m such a bad person’ doesn’t absolve you.”

As for what Stephen replied, they included a screenshot of his response, with him saying: “This is a very good take! You should tune into Love Is Blind Netflix to see how things ended this way last year or if we learned how to communicate sd rational mature adults and move forward.

“It also helps now that I’m not going through Lexapro withdrawal too after like I was during this so I can better rationalise and regulate my own emotions as well. But it ain’t over till the curtains fall so let’s make sure we maintain the same energy all the way through to the reunion!”
