We all love to keep up with the news on campus, whether it’s hearing about our friends’ campus crushes or reading all the rumours on the uni confession pages. Instagram has pretty much everything a student needs, from updates on all the upcoming events to the hysterical rants about people behaving extremely questionably in the library.

University-related Instagram accounts are in high demand with all Lancs students wanting to know the secrets, tips and trips of campus life – or just get some sympathy about the journey to Common Garden Street on the 100 bus. So, we’ve got the rundown on all of the top Instagram accounts that can help you make that happen.

The account currently sits at 966 confession posts and they’re some of the most hysterical (and slightly concerning) accounts of the chaos that Lancs students can find. It’s the stuff of sitcoms, and from flatmate horror stories to people’s most embarrassing moments, OnlyLancs really has it all.

Sultans is possibly the most iconic thing about Lancaster, and the free bottles of water and constant “hello, my friends” brighten all of our days. Just as iconic is their Instagram page, which is filled with mouth-watering food content and information about deals and discounts (freshers’ reps, get your free food this Freshers’ Week!)

The 24 Hour Race is a day-long relay race that supports the fight against modern slavery and human trafficking globally. It began in Hong Kong in 2010, and while Lancaster’s race was cancelled in 2023 the organisers have promised it will return this year, so give their page a follow if you want to stay updated and show your support.

This might be an obvious account to follow, but if you haven’t already, follow the uni Instagram page for updates on upcoming events and activities. You can also follow your college’s Insta for college-specific information, where they post everything from band nights to trivia.
