Erm, the Emily in Paris director just admitted Camille might not be returning next season
I’m feeling such a conflicting range of emotions right now
The director of Emily in Paris has revealed that Camille might not actually be making a return to the show next season and I’m in both parts shock and also rejoicing. I’m going to be completely honest, I’m a bit of a Camille hater but I do feel like she was redeemed by the end of the season.
When we last saw her Camille had decided to adopt a baby and become a single mum, but the creator has admitted we “might not see” her. So, what else has the director said and why might Camille not make an appearance in the next season of Selling Sunset?
Creator Darren Star clarified that Camille would still be a part of the world, but that don’t have to see her in order for that to happen. He explained: “I think she’s always going to be part of the series — she’s part of their world and I would never rule out the fact that we’re going to see her again. Her story is going to continue.”
However, in a more recent interview, he’s been more hesitant about whether or not she’ll be making a physical appearance, saying: “I don’t know. I think that’s a question. Characters can come in and out of a series, but you don’t necessarily have to see them. We may or may not. I don’t know how much of Camille we’ll see next season. But again, she’s part of the world of the series. I’m not sure how soon we’ll see her, but it doesn’t mean, again, that we won’t be seeing her.”

He also explained the thought process behind why Camille seemingly kept jeopardising the relationship between Gabriel and Emily, revealing: “I think Camille definitely felt like she was on her own. She was thinking about the baby that she was having with Gabriel and where that might lead the two of them.
“She’s someone who really was, at the end of last season, confused and unsure of what she wanted to do and where she wanted to go. And after sort of having a moment to think things through and try to figure things out for herself, I think she thought she was obviously going to be having a baby with Gabriel, and that they were gonna be part of each other’s lives.
“I don’t think it was necessarily an intentional plan or a plot to be with him, but I do feel there was a sense they would be connected and bonded through this baby, and I think it was a huge disappointment to discover that, in fact, she wasn’t pregnant.
