A look at the hugely different net worths of the Oasis brothers and who’s the richest

Imagine your brother earning 10s of millions more than you for the same songs x

In a year polluted with breakups, notably JLo and Ben Affleck, Gypsy Rose Blanchard her ex-husband Ryan, and Molly Mae and Tommy, there was nothing we were expecting less than a reunion. And this is not just any reunion – it’s the one everyone was hoping for.

14 years and 364 days since their split, Liam and Noel Gallagher have laid their tumultuous past to rest, and reunited for several shows next summer in venues throughout the UK, including Manchester, London, Cardiff, Dublin, and Edinburgh. Let’s hope they actually stay together until then! Their track record is not the most promising, with multiple splits and feuds.

The first signs of tension in the group began to show in 1994 when Noel Gallagher quit Oasis (albeit for a few days). After this came brotherly squabbles,  (the weapons used for which include a cricket bat and a tambourine), shows played with only one half of the band due to hangovers or stubbornness, and many arguments.

But with that behind us and now the reunion is finally here, let’s stir up some more drama between Liam and Noel, by finding out who out of the two Oasis brothers is the richest.

Liam Gallagher: £6 million

Liam has a net worth is reported to be around £6 million in 2024. The younger brother Oasis brother, 51, does not receive as much income from royalties as his elder brother, seeing as Noel wrote most of Oasis’ songs.

However, another reason for Liam’s net worth being considerably lower than Noel’s is the amount of money he and his ex-wife had to spend on legal bills and their divorce proceedings.

Noel Gallagher: £53 million

Similarly to Liam, the elder brother, 57, also lost a sizeable amount of his net worth in his recent divorce. As the band’s primary songwriter, Noel owns the majority of Oasis’ publishing rights. The song-writing and producing royalties he receives are not shared with his brother, however a portion of the royalties Liam receives still go to Noel since he is also a performer of their songs.

This has meant he’s amounted a whopping net worth of £53 million – quite a bit more than his brother.

Perhaps part of the reason they’ve put their differences aside is related to this big discrepancy – or maybe they just got sick of fighting. Either way, it’s a win for us!
