How much Deadpool stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman got paid for their legendary roles
The movie has raked in nearly $600 million through its box office
The star power in this incredibly successful film was attributed to many of the amazing cameos (no spoilers here, if you know you know), but mostly from the two main men who are renowned Hollywood heroes. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s stardom comes at a price, and a very expensive one indeed – the Deadpool and Wolverine actors were paid a pretty hefty amount.
The movie has raked in nearly $600 million in the box office, and is well on the way to $1 billion.

What were their previous paychecks for their Deadpool and Wolverine roles?
Ryan Reynolds’s previous paychecks for Deadpool have been pretty huge, with him earning $22 million for the first film, and $40 million to return as the anti-hero for its sequel, Deadpool II.
In contrast, Hugh Jackman was only paid $500,000 for his original Wolverine role. It was one of his breakthrough roles that helped him become a Hollywood household name, and if we’re being real $500,000 is hardly a small amount.
It gets better for Jackman: Entertainment outlet The Things approximates that he has been paid $100 million for his Wolverine roles before 2017. Like what?!
So, how much did they actually get paid?
The Things estimates that both Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman got paid a massive $20 million each for their roles in Deadpool and Wolverine. I’m starting to regret not going to acting school right about now.
Will there be another Deadpool and Wolverine movie?
I’m not sure if we’ll see them together again so soon, but there’s no way that’s the end of the line after such a staggering amount of success this time round. My guess is that we’ll definitely get another Deadpool film before the decade is out.
