There’s a wild House of the Dragon theory that Seasmoke and Drogon are actually brothers

But this actually makes so much sense?!

If you’ve watched both Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon, you might have noticed that the dragons Seasmoke and Drogon look pretty similar. So similar in fact, that some fans even wondered whether producers decided to reuse the same character model for Seasmoke.

But, now fans have come up with an even crazier House of the Dragon theory that would mean Seasmoke and Drogon are actually brothers?? If this all sounds very confusing, let me explain.

Redditors took to the House of the Dragon subreddit to discuss the possibility of whether the two could be related due to their eerily similar looking appearances. Reddit user, MyUsernameIsMeh, explained that they thought the most likely scenario was that Seasmoke and Drogon are brothers as are the rest of Daenerys’ dragons. And it’s clearly a popular theory as it got over 300 upvotes.

They wrote: “Seasmoke is probably the brother of Dany’s dragons. I’m onboard the “Dreamfyre is the mother of Dany’s dragons” theory and I also think that she’s the mother of Seasmoke and Arrax since those two are identical to Dreamfyre and Dany’s dragons. We’ve only seen a total of like four seconds of Dreamfyre but she had the same design as Dany’s dragons. It’s never actually been outright confirmed, but George is a master at writing things that are obviously true/connected.”

They go on to explain where Daenerys’ eggs could have come from, as we know from the books that she is gifted them from Illyrio. In the House of the Dragon books a woman named Elissa Farman steals three of Dreamfyre’s eggs and some fans think these are the ones that eventually fall into the hands of Illyrio. Dreamfyre could also be the mother of Seasmoke, and then much later when they finally hatch, Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion.

Whilst we might not ever get concrete confirmation, nothing in the Game of Thrones universe seems to happen by accident!
