Zara McDermott and Sam Thompson at ‘breaking point’ but giving relationship ‘one last shot’

Amid ‘crisis talks’ regarding their relationship, Sam Thompson and Zara McDermott have decided to give it ‘one last shot’, according to OK! It seems the events of the last few weeks regarding Zara’s Strictly statement about Graziano have been “overwhelming” for the couple and put “extra stress” on their relationship.

The couple’s relationship has appeared to be very rocky for the last few months after they were seen publicly “rowing” in the street. The Sun reported at the time that they had been trying to resolve their relationship after a huge fight at their London home.

The insider claimed: “Since Christmas Zara and Sam have been really busy with work and have had little quality time to see each other and as a result, their relationship has suffered. They’ve both wanted to make the most of their careers and say yes to all the exciting opportunities offered to them.”

According to a source, Zara McDermott and Sam Thompson have reached a “breaking point” and they’ve thought of ending the relationship on numerous occasions. The source claimed: “Things have been very up and down for Zara and Sam over the past few months and there have been points that they’ve thought about ending it.

“Zara had been worrying about the Graziano allegations coming out for a while and was terrified at what the public reaction would be but knew she couldn’t keep quiet. She felt she was at breaking point and if she didn’t release that statement, then things would be a lot worse. She’s had so much support but it’s only now that she’s realising the impact that it all had on her.

“Ultimately that put extra stress and pressure on her and Sam as they were both dealing with a lot. She feels her Strictly experience has been tarnished. There have been a lot of tears.

“But they both have a lot of love for each other and are determined to try to give it one more go. They know what they have together and don’t want to have any regrets. Everyone feels they are in the last chance saloon, but think they should give it a go. They are determined to fight to stay together. She and Sam will do everything to make it work.”
