Ingrid Andress is checking into rehab after *that* drunken national anthem performance

‘I’m checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need’

After her, let’s be honest pretty awful, drunken rendition of the American national anthem, Ingrid Andress has announced she’s checking herself into rehab to “get the help” she needs. In case you have absolutely no idea what I’m talking about, award winning country singer Ingrid Andress sang the American national anthem at the MLB Home Run Derby on Monday. Unfortunately, her performance wasn’t exactly the best, with one fan taking to Twitter to brutally say: “‘My ears are bleeding. One of the worst national anthem renditions ever.”

She sounded very out of tune, and fans were confused about how someone so talented could suddenly sound so different. However, the day after her performance Ingrid Andress took to Instagram to release a statement about the quality of her performance. She admitted she was drunk whilst singing, and had decided to check herself into rehab.

She admitted: “I’m not going to bullsh*t y’all, I was drunk last night,” she wrote on social media, “I’m checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need. That was not me last night. I apologize to MLB, all the fans, and this country I love so much for that rendition. I’ll let y’all know how rehab is I hear it’s super fun.”

She received support from fellow country music duo Brothers Osbourne in the comments, who wrote: “I know everyone is here for laughs but as someone who has seen her sing many times live, she is incredibly talented. Not sure what happened here but I’d bet the farm there were huge technical problems with her monitors.”

As a result of the backlash from her performance and her admittance into rehab, Ingrid has cancelled her two upcoming concert dates in Nashville and Denver. One was set for Wednesday 17th July, and the other for July 24th with a representative confirming that “venues are in touch with ticket buyers regarding refunds.”
