Lancaster Castle gives us a new study (nap) space

Lancaster Castle is set to become home to a new academic space for Lancaster University.
The castle has been the heart of different events in the city, taking centre stage during Light Up Lancaster and being a historical landmark for tourists to wander.
The university has signed a new two-year lease with the Duchy of Lancaster for a seminar room to be opened right on the Castle grounds. The seminar room is set to seat around 60 students, and will be multi-purpose for academic events, teaching and training. For history and conservation students it is a great chance to learn right out of a medieval venue.
The castle has stood since the 11th century
In a statement on the deal Professor Dame Sue Black, Lancaster University Pro-Vice Chancellor for Engagement, stated: "Having a city-centre campus extension in Lancaster's historical castle allows us to develop a major presence in the vibrant heart of the city."
The castle-based study extension is set to open in early 2020.
