Overwhelmingly women are changing their opinions on porn and S&M
A massive majority think it’s neither anti-feminist or degrading to women
95 per cent of women now believe that BDSM is not anti-feminist, according to the overwhelming responses to babe’s sexual attitudes survey.
And over half have similar opinions on porn – 53 percent, over 3,000 women – think it’s not degrading to women. 78 per cent watch and enjoy it – with over a quarter watching it once a week or more.
A small minority – one per cent of women – say they watch it every day.
The figures overwhelmingly show that less of us give a fuck what society thinks we should enjoy in our private lives, and are more interested in doing what we actually enjoy.
One woman wrote: “What you want to do in the bedroom is what you want to do. Feminism allows women and men to do what they want during sex (as long as it’s legal), be that submissive or dominant
“Sex roles are entirely different than the rest of life. I am a strong, fiercely independent feminist women. I command control in almost every sphere in life– except for in the bedroom, where I prefer to be controlled. That’s my choice.
“Women should have the freedom to like, and participate in, whatever they want, including BDSM.”

It’s also a marker of how we’re becoming more adventurous sexually. Seven per cent of us have tried bondage, four per cent enjoy roleplay, three per cent have made a sex tape and one per cent have tried watersports.
“People perceive BDSM all wrong” said one respondent.
“It’s empowering to let go of the control and just enjoy yourself. I personally believe that the subs in these types of relationships actually have all the control, because in a proper BDSM relationship, the two consenting adults just want each other to be happy.
“There are both male and female Doms, so the power goes both ways. Everything is planned out, with strict safety precautions in place. Additionally, everything is absolutely consensual and agreed on beforehand by all parties involved.
“True BDSM is about empowerment and communication between partners. In a healthy BDSM relationship, both partners are treated with respect and compassion regardless of gender.”
