Facebook release their best emoticons ever

For many of us our first encounter with the emoticon came when we first downloaded MSN messenger.

For years the symbols were tainted by their association with our collective love of Blink 182, meeting up with our crushes at the bus stop on the way home from school and feverishly updating our Myspace profiles.

Now they’re getting cooler by the second and Facebook has its fingers on the pulse, releasing their latest range of “stickers”.

The stickers, only available on the messaging service, will allow users to dislike for the first time.

It’ll also be possible to use emoticons to give flowers, share a glass of champagne and complain about a wounded thumb.
