DJ at centre of Christmas no 1 campaign to play at Student Union tonight

Joy O – a DJ at the heart of a campaign to get a house track to no.1 in the charts this Christmas – is playing the Queen’s Student Union tonight.

In 2009, a campaign to place Rage Against The Machine’s ‘Killing In The Name’ at the top of the Christmas charts succeeded.

This year, it is the turn of Boddika’s deep house edit of ‘Mercy VIP’ with Joy Orbison.

London acts De$ignated and Tache set up the Facebook page which gained 3,000 likes in under 24 hours.

Retweeted by Disclosure and shared by Skream, the campaign has acquired attention and validation in a short space of time.
