The Bristol Vintage Fair

Last weekend’s Vintage Fair saw Bristol get its forties freak on!

Saturday 27th October saw the arrival of The Bristol Vintage Fair, taking up camp in The Passenger Shed. The venue was like a very glamorous time warp, transformed into a scene from Some Like it Hot.

Offering a plethora of vintage wears, the event saw forties fans flock to get their hands on everything and anything vintage; from homewears and furniture to wedding dresses and vintage clothing, any vintage lovers’ cravings were sure to be exhausted.

As well as the array of things to buy, the fair provided all sorts of good old fashioned entertainment with kitsch tea parties and rock and roll music from the Roadhouse Roosters, who had the entire fair doing the bunny hop!

For those customers that hadn’t already adorned themselves with victory rolls, Hollywood waves and scarlet lips, help was at hand in the form of The Vintage Hair Lounge. The makeover team worked tirelessly with Besame cosmetics, creating vintage beauties that would give Dita Von Teese a run for her money.

The Passenger Shed also played host to the Something Old Vintage Wedding Fair that saw fairytale vintage bought to life providing an old fashion spin on the big day that resulted in anything other than a cookie cutter wedding.

Unsurprisingly, the event attracted some true style heroes and The Bristol Tab snapped up the opportunity to grab a picture with the two most stylish gals of the day.

If you missed out and your itching for a beehive and a pair of brogues the Vintage Fair will be back at the Passenger Shed on 10th March 2013, so make a note in your Filofax as next year’s fair promises an equally authentic event.
