Donald Trump goes back on his vow to debate Bernie Sanders

After committing to debating Bernie Sanders on Jimmy Kimmel Live earlier in the week, Donald Trump has reneged on his promise to debate the senator from Vermont.

Early today, big Donald tweeted a statement clarifying his position and effectively leaving Bernie at the altar.

Even though he admitted that the DNC nominating process was “totally rigged” in favor of “Crooked Hillary” and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, he claimed that it would be “inappropriate” to debate the second place finisher.

Just six hours ago, the Bernie campaign tweeted a call to invite their followers to commit to watching a Bernie/Trump debate before the California primary on June 7th.

They have not commented since the Trump campaign published his statement about the debates.
